Cream Of Fresh Tomato Soup

1 small onion, finely chopped
3 tbs. butter
6 med. large ripe tomatoes. peeled
, seeded & chopped
2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. dried sage
1 c. heavy cream
In a 4 qt. saucepan, saute onion in butter til limp.
Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, bak., soda, sage.
Saute 10 to 12 min. or til thickened and Pasty
Remove from heat & stir in cream.
Taste for seasoning. Return to heat and heat thru.
Serve in heated cups.
Serve with dollaps of sour cream & chopped parsley..
