Gluten Roast

8 c. white flour
21/2 to 3 c. water
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. savorex or savita
1 tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. beef seasoning.
Sauce:
2 tbs. savory or savita
1 -2 c. water
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp. beef seasoning
1 small bay leaf
1. add enough water to flour to make stiff dough.
knead thoroughly, this developes the gluten.
2. cover lump of dough with water and alow to stand.
1 to 2 hours or overnight,
3. Wash out starch.
4. Saute onions in butter,
5. Beat eggs, seasonings together, mix with onion and nuts,
6. Put gluten thru food grinder, To insure adequate mixing,
alternate small amounts of nuts, onion & egg mixture.
with small portions of gluten., . Otherwise gluten will
recombine. Repeat grinding if necessary..
7.Turn into greased baking pan.
8. Combine sauce ingredients & pour over roast.Keep
bay leaf on top.
Bake 325 for 2 hours.
