1 lb. burger
2 slices bread
1/2 c. evaporated milk. undiluted
1/2 small onion, chopped fine
The secret is in the mixing
Lay bread in large bowl, pour milk over bread and let it stand til it absorbs. Mix with fork til bread falls apart. Add onion, salt and pepper. Makes a light fluffy mixture. Mix in beef, shape loaf\.
TOPPING;
3 tbs. brown sugar
1/4 c. ktchup
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. dry mustard
Mix and spread over loaf before baking
Bake 400 - 1 hour
