Baked Lamb Shanks


4 lamb shanks
1/2 tsp. salt & pepper
4 c. beef broth
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dry mustard
Place lamb shanks in a well greased baking pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake uncovered
400 for 30 min.
Remove from oven, reduce heat to 350, add broth to pan.
Combine onion and spices. Sprinkle over lamb shanks
Cover and bake for 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
Make gravy from drippings.
