Garbanzo Stew With Dumplings

2 cans garbanzos ( save liquid)
2 cans water
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbs. butter
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. accent
Saute onion in butter, sprinkle in flour, blend.
Add enough liquid to butter & flour to stir smooth.
Add to beans, add basil , accent, salt to taste.
Dumplings
1/2 c. water
2 tbs, butter
sprinkle with salt
2/3 c. flour
2 eggs
Place water, salt, butter, in saucepan. Bring to boil
remove from heat, add flour all at once. Stir to a
smooth paste .Add eggs, 1 at a time, stir til eggs are
absorbed, Drop by spoonfuls on boiling beans.
Cover and cook 20 min. Do not open lid
.
