3 tbs. flour
2 pound boneless beef round steaks, cut into serving size pieces
1/4 c. butter
1 can -14 1/2 oz - diced tomatoes, undrained
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. - 4 oz- mozzarella cheese, shredded
Place flour in a large resealable plastic bag.Add beef, a few pieces at a time.& shake to coat. Remove meat from bag a pound to flatten.
In a large skillet over med high heat, brown steaks on both sides in butter add the tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add green pepper and onion. Cover and simmer 25 - 30 min. or til veggies are tender. Sprinkle with cheese, cook 2 min. longer. or til cheese is melted
