Apricot Upside Down Cake

Sift together:
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
Set Aside
work with a spoon til light,
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
Add 1 egg
Beat til light and fluffy
Combine and add:
1 c. applesauce, fresh or canned
1 tsp. baking soda
Mix well:
Add dry ingredients , gradually, mixing well after each
addition.
Stir in:
1 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. raisins
Mix well. Drop by tsp. onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 350 for 12 to 15 min.
